Carlos Vela is a professional soccer player and soccer superstar who has played for MLS team LAFC, the Mexico National Team, Arsenal in England, and Real Sociedad in Spain. He's known to be one of the most talented soccer players to come from Mexico.
At LAFC, Vela became a club legend with a record-breaking season, scoring 34 goals and providing 15 assists — the highest combined total in MLS history at the time — earning him the MLS MVP award. He helped lead LAFC to its first Supporters’ Shield and played a pivotal role in their 2022 MLS Cup championship run.
Vela was a key player on the Mexico National Team, earning over 70 caps and playing in the 2010 and 2018 World Cups. He was also a key part of Mexico’s 2009 Gold Cup-winning squad and scored a standout goal against South Korea in 2018.
